The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, has advised Nigerian youths to focus on leveraging technology for financial growth rather than worrying about economic hardship.

Speaking in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Monday during the inauguration of a community ICT centre he donated to Egbaland, Tijani emphasized the vast opportunities in the technology sector. The hub was constructed by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
He noted that his personal experience growing up in Abeokuta inspired the initiative, as there were limited ICT facilities available for young talents. The new centre, he said, aims to bridge this gap and provide a platform for innovation and skill development.
The Minister disclosed that 30 similar centres had been built across the country and would be commissioned within the next two months. He encouraged youths to utilize such facilities to gain digital skills and access high-paying jobs in the tech industry.
Tijani stated, “If you ask anyone that works in technology, the entry salary is between N350,000 and N500,000. Technology pays really well, so instead of worrying about things being hard, they should take advantage of centers like this, empower themselves and go for the opportunities the world has to offer them.”
The event also saw the inauguration of a library and an administrative building donated by Ogun West Senator, Solomon Adeola, at the new Abeokuta City Hall Complex.
Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, commended the Minister for the donation and urged Egba indigenes to contribute to the development of their community.
