A prominent figure in Gombe State, Engineer Aliyu Mohammed (Kombat), has called on his supporters to remain focused on the current administration’s development efforts rather than engaging in electioneering campaigns at this time.
In a press release dated May 8, 2025, which was obtained by PERISCOPE NIGERIA, Mohammed expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support he has received, but emphasised the need to prioritise the state’s progress under Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s leadership.
Mohammed said, “The time for politics will come. However, I believe it is still a little too early to engage in any form of electioneering campaigns. At this critical moment, our collective focus should remain on the outstanding work being done by our leader.”
The Chief Executive Officer of Velocity Group highlighted the governor’s achievements, including the expansion of road networks, construction of new complexes for the State House of Assembly and judiciary, and the establishment of the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park.

“These include the expansion of road networks within the metropolitan areas and across all 11 local governments, the construction of a New State House of Assembly complex, a modern judiciary complex, and a revitalised state secretariat to enhance governance and service delivery,” he noted.
The leader also commended the governor’s efforts to reward loyal party members and those who contributed to his electoral successes. “In recent days, His Excellency has also intensified efforts to reward loyalty and dedication of party faithful and those who played pivotal roles in securing victories during both his first and second term elections,” Mohammed said.
Mohammed reassured his supporters that their philanthropic efforts and empowerment programs would continue uninterrupted.
“As we rally behind His Excellency in this people-centered mission, I want to reassure you that our philanthropic efforts and empowerment will continue without interruption. We remain steadfast in our belief that true leadership lies in serving humanity and improving lives,” Mohammed said.
