The newly deployed Gombe State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Commandant Jibrin Idris, has reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration during separate courtesy visits to the Nigerian Army 301 Artillery Regiment and the Gombe State Police Command.
Speaking during his visit to the Commander of the 301 Artillery Regiment, General Support Gombe, Col. A. M. Muhammed, Commandant Jibrin emphasized the importance of synergy among security agencies in addressing the state’s security challenges.

“We cannot afford to work in silos. Security is a shared responsibility, and only through unity of purpose can we effectively safeguard the lives and property of our citizens,” Commandant Jibrin said.
In his response, Col. Muhammed commended the NSCDC for its operational efforts and assured the Commandant of the Army’s readiness to collaborate. “Your men are doing a great job in the field, and we are committed to sustaining a cordial and professional relationship that will benefit the people of Gombe,” he said. The visit ended with a presentation of a commemorative plaque to Commandant Jibrin and a brief photo session.
Commandant Jibrin also visited the Commissioner of Police, Gombe State Command, CP Bello Yahaya, at the Police Headquarters in Gombe. Welcomed by the Commissioner and senior police officers, the Commandant reiterated his intention to build on existing partnerships.
“We are here to deepen cooperation, exchange intelligence, and ensure joint efforts in tackling crime across the state,” Jibrin stated.
CP Bello Yahaya welcomed the initiative, describing it as a step in the right direction. “We are stronger together. The Nigeria Police Force stands ready to work with the NSCDC and all other agencies to make Gombe a safer and more secure environment,” he said.
Both engagements, according to the NSCDC Public Relations Officer, SC Buhari Saad, reflect the Command’s ongoing strategy to enhance inter-agency coordination as a means of improving public safety and effective response to security concerns across the state.
The visits concluded with mutual assurances of continued collaboration and joint efforts toward achieving a crime-free Gombe State.
