The Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH), Gombe, has resumed full CT scan services following a period of disruption.
This development was confirmed during a visit by The PERISCOPE NIGERIA health correspondent, who was monitoring healthcare updates across Gombe State.

According to a statement from the hospital’s Radiology Department, the resumption of services is a result of the visionary leadership of the Chief Medical Director, Professor Yusuf Abdullahi. The hospital has installed a state-of-the-art GE Revolution Maxima 128-slice high-performance CT scanner, enabling it to provide advanced imaging services once again.
With the recommencement of CT scan services, patients no longer need to travel outside the state to access this critical diagnostic service.
It will be recalled that the previous breakdown of the CT scan machine forced many patients to seek services in neighboring states. The restoration of the service is expected to ease the burden on patients and improve diagnostic capacity within the hospital.
