In a move hailed as a major boost for security operations in Gombe State, the state government has officially handed over a newly constructed ultra-modern office complex to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State Command.
The facility, located at New Mile 3 in Gombe metropolis, was built by the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI) and was presented during a well-attended ceremony graced by top government officials, heads of security agencies, and community stakeholders.
Presenting the keys on behalf of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (Dan Majen Gombe), the Security Adviser to the Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Aminu Musa, reiterated the administration’s unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure in the state.
“The Governor believes that effective security begins with equipping agencies with the right tools and environment. This building is a reflection of that belief,” Musa said, urging the NSCDC to make effective use of the facility to bolster its operations and deliver enhanced security for the people of Gombe State.
Receiving the keys, the State Commandant of the NSCDC, Commandant Jibrin Idris, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, OFR. He pledged the Corps’ dedication to utilizing the building to its full potential in safeguarding lives and property across the state.
In a statement to PERISCOPE NIGERIA, the NSCDC Gombe State Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Corps Buhari Saad, described the development as a “significant milestone” in the Corps’ operational capacity.

“This edifice is not just a building; it’s a symbol of partnership and trust between the government and the Corps,” Saad said. “It will serve as a nerve center for our operations, allowing us to coordinate more efficiently and respond promptly to security issues.”
SC Saad also praised the state government for its continued support of security agencies, stating that the provision of such infrastructure will undoubtedly boost the morale of officers and enhance their service delivery.
“We are committed to reciprocating this gesture by redoubling our efforts to ensure peace, safety, and stability in every part of the state,” he added.
The new office complex is expected to significantly enhance the Corps’ administrative and operational effectiveness, offering personnel a more conducive working environment while strengthening community-oriented policing and rapid response initiatives.
