Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, on Thursday approved the appointment of a new Special Adviser, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants across various portfolios.
The governor’s decision was conveyed in a press statement by Secretary to Government of the State, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, signed by Director-General Press Affairs Gombe Government House Ismaila Misilli.
Njodi noted that the appointments are part of the governor’s ongoing efforts to enhance coordination, deepen public engagement, and ensure strategic integration of grassroots stakeholders in policy execution and development planning.
The newly appointed officials include Abubakar Abdullahi (Habun DK), who will serve as Special Adviser on Agriculture and Farmer-Herder Coordination; Alhaji Muhammad Saleh Jauro (Jauro Hammadu), appointed as Senior Special Assistant II on Public Communications; and Mrs. Euphemia Chizoba Obio-Okeke and Hajiya Hannatu M. Ibrahim, both of whom will serve as Senior Special Assistants II on Community Relations.
Others appointed as Special Assistants II (Political) include Aminu Abdullahi Musa, Abubakar Musa Bojude, Usman Baba Mohammed, Dahiru Mohammed Umar, Ibrahim Bapparu (Kala), Umar Abdullahi Rambo, Adamu Mohammed (Maja), Musa Aliyu, and Bulus Yerima Bangunji.
Also appointed as Special Assistants II on Women Mobilisation are Hajiya Amina Abubakar, Sadiya Alhassan Aminu Maiwake, and Lami Adamu.
All appointments take effect from 22nd May 2025.
The statement expressed Yahaya’s confidence that the new appointees will bring competence, loyalty, and dedication to their respective roles in serving the people of Gombe State.
