Preparatory to the meeting of the 19 Northern States Governors Forum scheduled to take place on Saturday under the chairmanship of Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, the Secretary to Government Gombe State and chairman of the Forum of Secretaries to the Northern States Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has led his colleagues to chart a course for the meeting.
Njodi along with his colleagues from the 19 Northern States are expected to marshal out a road for the governors targeting the social economic and infrastructural development of the North.
This was contained in a press statement signed by Information Officer SGS’ office Joshua Danmalam which was obtained by our correspondent in Gombe.
Declaring the meeting open, Njodi expressed gratitude to his colleagues for their unwavering commitment to the service of their various states in particular and the North as a whole.
“Professor Njodi on behalf of the Gombe State Governor and chairman of the 19 Northern States Governors Forum Mohammadu Inuwa Yahaya tendered an apology for the numerous postponement of the meeting which he noted was due to exigencies of duty,” Danmalam statement partly read.
The statement added that the forum’s chairman praised his colleagues for their commitment and determination for holding forth their line of duty in a manner worthy of their calling.
The Gombe SGS used the medium to welcome newly appointed Secretaries to the Government of Kano, Nasarawa and Bauchi states into the forum.
The meeting of the forum of Secretaries to the Northern States Government witnessed an impressive turn out as virtually all the SGS and representatives were in attendance.
The Northern State Governor’s forum meeting is expected to hold tomorrow Saturday at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House Kaduna.
