A windstorm has once again destroyed sections of the NYSC Orientation Camp in Amada, Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State.
Affected areas include the roofs of hostels accommodating corps members currently undergoing orientation, as well as the camp pavilion.

The Gombe State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Adamu Inuwa Ibrahim, visited the camp on behalf of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya to assess the extent of the damage and ensure prompt government intervention.
The Gombe State NYSC Coordinator, Chinwe Nnenna Nwachuku, along with members of her management team, conducted the commissioner around the affected areas and appealed to the state government for urgent repairs to enable displaced corps members to return to their designated accommodations.

In his remarks, Adamu Inuwa Ibrahim sympathised with the NYSC over the incident and assured of swift government action. He stressed that the safety and comfort of corps members posted to Gombe State remains a top priority for the government.
