The city of Gombe was aglow with celebration on Saturday, June 28, 2025, as former Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) and ex-Gombe State Commissioner for Works, Engr. Shehu Hadi, gave out his daughters, Amina and Zainab, in marriage.



The well-attended wedding ceremony took place at the Emir’s Palace in Gombe, drawing an array of dignitaries from across the country. Among them were Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi; former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Mohammed Musa Bello; traditional leaders, government officials, and many others.
Amina was joined in matrimony to Abdulhamid Ahmed Arabi Sa’ad, while Zainab wed Haruna Aminu Abdullahi. The wedding fatiha was conducted in the presence of the Emir of Gombe, His Royal Highness Dr. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, and officiated by Imam Aliyu Hammari of the Gombe Central Mosque. Both grooms fulfilled all Islamic marriage rites, including the payment of a N250,000 dowry each.
Speaking on behalf of Governor Inuwa Yahaya, Professor Njodi congratulated the newlyweds and their families, expressing joy over the occasion. He urged the couples to establish their homes on a foundation of mutual trust, love, and understanding.
“May Allah bless your union and grant you peace, happiness, and prosperity in your married life,” the governor’s message read.
The ceremony was attended by a cross-section of friends, well-wishers, and associates who came to celebrate with the families on the memorable day.
