Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has commended a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Adamu Manu Malala, for empowering 300 party supporters across the six ward of Dukku North Assembly Constituency with the sum of N3 million.
Speaking at the disbursement ceremony in Malala through the Secretary to Government of State, Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Yahaya commended the donor for his sense of generosity to party loyalists.
The representative of the governor noted that the generosity of Adamu Manu is a clear manifestation of his love to the present administration in the State in particular and APC as a whole.
He enjoined other party stalwarts who are privileged of having contracts from the state government to support party members through similar gesture.
In a remark, Alhaji Adamu Manu Malala, said the gesture was in appreciation to what Governor Yahaya did for him.
“He gave me a contract and out of the proceed i felt i should empower other party supporters hence, the decision to dole out three Million Naira,” he added.
Malala reiterated his love for Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and the All Progressive Congress, assuring of his commitment to the success of the party at all times.
Six ward Chairmen of APC who went home with one hundred thousand naira each, others with Ten to fifty thousand Naira.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Alhaji Adamu’s kind gesture which they said will go a long way in changing their livelihoods.
They, however, solicited for more of such opportunities to be given to Adamu Manu a man they described as patriotic and committed party supporter.
The occasion was attended by some members of the State House of Assembly, Head of Civil service, Commissioners of Finance, Works, Housing & Transport and that of Water, Environment & forest Resources as well as APC officials from the state, local and Ward levels.
