The Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW Global) has congratulated Muslim faithful in Nigeria and across the globe on the occasion of this year’s Eid El Kabir celebration.
This was contained in a statement issued by the President of the Society, Wole Adedoyin, who described the Islamic festival as one of the most significant events in the religious calendar, symbolizing obedience, faith, and the spirit of sacrifice.
Adedoyin said Eid El Kabir offers a unique opportunity for all Nigerians to reflect on the values of unity, compassion, and devotion to God as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to divine command.
He noted that the celebration is not only a time for merriment but also a moment for sober reflection, prayer, and acts of kindness, especially towards the less privileged and vulnerable members of society.
The SYNW President urged Muslims to use the occasion to strengthen their faith, promote peace, and continue praying for the progress and stability of the country, especially in these challenging times.
Adedoyin also encouraged Muslim writers, poets, and creatives to channel the values of Eid into their works by producing literature that promotes understanding, love, and moral consciousness in society.
While celebrating with their Muslim brothers and sisters, the Society of Young Nigerian Writers called for continued interfaith dialogue and collaboration, stressing that national development can only be achieved in an atmosphere of peace, tolerance, and mutual respect.
The Society also acknowledged the efforts of religious leaders, scholars, and community stakeholders in promoting peaceful coexistence and religious harmony in Nigeria.
In conclusion, Wole Adedoyin, on behalf of SYNW Global, prayed for a joyous, safe, and spiritually uplifting Eid El Kabir for all Muslims and wished them Allah’s continued blessings, guidance, and protection.
