The Managing Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation, Ali Nuhu, has discussed the possibility of a cinematography centre and youth training in Gombe State.

Nuhu who expressed appreciation to Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, for what he described as a “warm reception” during his visit to the Government House expressed enthusiasm that it would yield the desired results.
In a post on his official Facebook page, posted on Wednesday @AliNuhuMohammed, the Kannywood star said their discussions were “both engaging and forward-looking,” particularly on the Nigerian Film Corporation’s plan to establish a Cinematography Centre in Gombe.
The Gombe-born filmmaker disclosed that the facility will serve as “a hub for creativity, innovation, and professional filmmaking in the region.”
He added that they explored “opportunities for skill acquisition and youth training programmes, equipping the next generation with the knowledge and tools to excel in the creative sector.”
The meeting also touched on plans for a collaboration between the Nigerian Film Institute and Gombe State University to “strengthen academic–industry linkages and create pathways for students into the film and media space.”
“I am confident that these initiatives will not only boost the creative economy in Gombe but also open new chapters of growth for the Nigerian film industry as a whole,” Nuhu stated.
