Veteran Nollywood actor Clem Ohameze has opened up about his health struggles and the steadfast support of his only daughter, describing her as the reason he is still alive.
“Since stroke hit me, my daughter is the only person that has not given up on me,” Ohameze said in an emotional testimony. “She has been taking care of me for over two decades now. My sons don’t care about me anymore — they gave up on me too soon. They are busy making sure their wives and kids are happy, while my only daughter makes sure I am OK, even at the expense of her own happiness.”
Reflecting on the sacrifices she has made, the screen icon said, “If my daughter was not born, I would have been a dead man more than a decade ago. When I was strong, I invested more in my three sons, but life is difficult to understand.”
He concluded with a heartfelt message: “I can’t explain it, but you don’t know what God has done for you if you have a girl child. They are the only people that will never give up on you.”
