The Paramount ruler of the Kwararafa Kingdom, the (Aku Uka of Wukari), HRM Manu Adda Ali, has called on Governor Agbu Kefas to establish a direct agro and yam sales connectivity between farmers and the state government to improve farmers gain.
The Aku Uka made the appeal in Wukari Taraba State, while speaking during the listening tour by Governor Kefas, organised to identify projects of the locals desire.

Our correspondent reports that Kefas has commenced a listening tour across 16 local government areas of Taraba, to identify projects of the locals need, with the promise to start infrastructural development in October 2025.
Meanwhile, the monarch in his request for the local governments in the southern region of the state, expressed that a direct market connectivity between farmers and the state government would create a balance against inputs expenditure, since farmers would no longer be negotiating with the middle men.
The Paramount ruler decried the continued rise in the prices of agro chemicals at the expense of farmers, called for immediate intervention in the way of subsidy, and direct market connectivity between farmers and the Taraba State Government.
“We are originally farmers, and our major concern is farming. We want a direct market connectivity with the government to attract profit. Prices of agro chemicals are increasing by the day. We want an intervention in the way of subsidy and a medium to sale our products directly to the government.
“These would provide a market balance for farmers to attract profit, since we will be selling directly to the government,” he appealed.
In his response, Kefas assured that his administration would ensure timely action for the demand to ensure effective farming to achieve the desire for development in Taraba State.
The governor also reaffirmed commitment to security and education to enable him build a Taraba that would be ranked top, on the global map of economic and infrastructural development.
