The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State, Ossai Ovie, has expressed disappointment over remarks made by billionaire businessman Femi Otedola during the wedding of his daughter, Temi, to singer Mr. Eazi.

Ovie faulted Otedola’s advice, in which he appeared to caution his daughter against seeking his intervention in marital issues. According to Ovie, such guidance sends the wrong message, as fathers should remain a source of comfort and support for their daughters, particularly during difficult moments in marriage.
“Parents should encourage openness, not silence, in the face of marital struggles. Marriage does not erase the father–daughter bond; instead, it should strengthen the foundation of love, trust, and support,” Ovie stated.
He further emphasised that fathers ought to reassure their daughters that they will always have a safe place to turn to, noting that Otedola’s comments fell short of this responsibility.
