Stakeholders in Gombe State have commended President Bola Tinubu for his bold, transformative and result-oriented leadership in the country.

The stakeholders including entrepreneurs, government officials, social and ecconomic experts, said this during a town hall meeting, yesterday in Gombe.

The theme of the exercise is: “Tinubu Administration: The Mid-Term Report.”

Mr Saifullah Waziri, Focal Person, Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (IDICE) in the state, lauded the federal government over the ongoing developmental efforts across sectors.

He said the drop in food prices was a positive indicator that President Tinubu’s economic reforms were yielding tangible results.

According to Waziri, the federal government is doing a lot, while challenges remain, the reforms introduced by President Tinubu are bold and transformative.

“Some people may choose to spread negative narratives, however, the progress is clear for those who look objectively.

“There are improvements in national security, particularly in the North-East. The past insecurity that plagued states like Borno and Yobe. Today, people can worship freely, that fear is now a history,” he said.

Waziri also highlighted significant stride in education through government-led initiatives that returned thousands of out-of-school children back to classrooms.

Also, Sadiq Ahmed, Chairman, Forum of Heads of Federal Ministries and Organisations, underscored the importance of continuity in governance.

He lauded Tinubu for not abandoning projects initiated by the previous administrations, a departure from the past trends.

“Apart from initiating new projects such as the Federal Medical Centre, Kumo, the Federal College of Education for Special Needs, and the Federal Orthopaedic Hospital, Gombe. The president has ensured the continuation of inherited projects, a commendable and rare leadership trait,” he said.

Ahmed urged state governors to emulate the Tinubu’s model of inclusive and sustainable governance.

Mr Mininyawa Ahmed, the Gombe Commissioner for Information, described the mid-term report as a clear evidence of the Tinubu’s commitment to the delivery of dividends of democracy to the people.

He said that Gov. Inuwa Yahaya was also following Tinubu’s footsteps by achieving significant progress in multiple sectors in the state.

Malam Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation, presented the Tinubu Administration Mid-Term Report.

Idris was represented by Abdulkarim Bello, Head, Federal Information Centre, Gombe.

He described uninterrupted academic calendars in the Nigerian universities as a groundbreaking achievement.

“For the first time in our history, universities have completed sessions without a single strike. That alone shows a deep commitment to the educational future of our youth,” Idris said.

He also highlighted major stride in the power sector with an addition of 1,500MW to the national grid in the last two years of the Tinubu administration.
