The Secretary to the Government of GombeState, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has been honoured with the “Exemplary Integrity, Distinguished Service and Social Impact Award” by the Center for Ethical Conduct Orientation and Empowerment (CECDE).
The award, which was presented at a summit and award night held in Abuja to commemorate Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, celebrated individuals who have demonstrated outstanding integrity, leadership, and service to humanity.
In a statement explaining the rationale behind the award, CECDE said Professor Njodi was recognised for his “exceptional leadership, commitment to ethical governance, and visible contributions to the advancement of Nigeria’s development agenda.”
Receiving the award on behalf of the SSG, the Director-General of the Gombe State Liaison Office in Abuja conveyed Professor Njodi’s appreciation to the organisers for the honour.

According to him, “Professor Njodi is deeply humbled by this recognition. He dedicates the award to the good people of Gombe State and reaffirms his commitment to transparency, service, and good governance in the discharge of his duties.”
Meanwhile, the management and staff of the Office of the SGF have congratulated Professor Njodi on the award, describing it as “well-deserved and a testament to his unwavering integrity and selfless service.”
They commended his exemplary leadership and dedication, noting that the recognition would further inspire others in public service to uphold similar values.
