The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Gombe State Command has reaffirmed its commitment to deepening collaboration with the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gombe State Branch, to promote the rule of law and enhance security in the state.

The State Commandant, Commandant Jibrin Idris, made this known when he received the newly elected NBA Chairman, Barr. Alhassan Muazu, and his executive members on a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Gombe.

Speaking during the visit, Barr. Muazu said the NBA under his leadership is committed to sustaining a cordial working relationship with the NSCDC.
“Our association and the NSCDC share a common goal — ensuring justice, promoting the rule of law, and maintaining peace in our communities,” he said.

“We appreciate the Command’s efforts in safeguarding critical infrastructure and protecting the lives and property of citizens.”
In his response, Commandant Idris welcomed the NBA delegation and underscored the importance of synergy between security agencies and the legal profession in the administration of justice.
“The Corps remains committed to working closely with the NBA and other stakeholders to strengthen the justice system and create a safer environment for the people of Gombe State,” Idris said.
“Together, we can bridge the gap between law enforcement and legal advocacy to ensure fairness and stability in our society.”
He also lauded the NBA for its pivotal role in promoting legal awareness and defending the rights of citizens, noting that effective collaboration between both institutions is key to sustaining peace and order.
The visit had in attendance senior officers of the Command, including DCC Suleiman Baba, Head of Intelligence and Investigation; DCC Gomna Bulus, Head of Administration; and ACC Habila Bulmen, Second-in-Command, Legal Unit.
The engagement ended with both sides pledging continued partnership in advancing justice and security across the state, followed by a group photograph to commemorate the visit.
