Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Asma’u Iganus, on Saturday toured the GoMart Trade Fair currently ongoing in Gombe.

PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the trade fair, organised by the Jewel Women Entrepreneurs Network, is being hosted within the premises of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
The fair, which opened on November 28, is scheduled to close on November 30.

During her tour of the various vendor stands—featuring products ranging from household items to food and personal care items—the commissioner praised the resilience and hard work of the women entrepreneurs.
She noted that their dedication and entrepreneurial spirit deserve encouragement through patronage from well-meaning residents of the state.
To further motivate the vendors, Iganus purchased items from some of the stands, reaffirming the ministry’s commitment to promoting women-led businesses in Gombe State.
