President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Chukwuma Soludo on his re-election as Anambra Governor, describing the victory as a reflection of Soludo’s visionary leadership.
In a statement, the President noted that Soludo’s win in Saturday’s governorship election makes him only the third governor in Anambra’s history to secure a second term.
He also commended the people of Anambra, security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring a peaceful and successful poll.
“Soludo’s re-election is a testament to his visionary leadership and the significant progress the state has made under his guidance,” Tinubu said, praising the Governor’s focus on accountability, transparency, and prudent management.
Recalling his visit to Anambra in May to inaugurate state projects, Tinubu described the initiatives as remarkable and a reflection of effective governance. He urged Soludo to be magnanimous in victory, seek cooperation from election opponents, and assured him of the Federal Government’s continued support.
The President also commended INEC Chairman Joash Amupitan and his team for conducting a credible election and encouraged the commission to maintain high standards to strengthen Nigeria’s electoral process.
