The Security Situation Room, Nigeria’s leading online platform for tracking and analysing security developments, has announced the appointment of media personality Miss Favour Munachi Agunwa as its new Media and Programmes Officer.
In a statement on Monday, the platform said Agunwa’s appointment reflects its expanding influence in shaping conversations and reforms around Nigeria’s security architecture.
According to the Security Situation Room, the new appointee brings “a unique blend of strategic networking, media expertise, and creative communication.”
“Miss Agunwa has distinguished herself as a versatile and impactful media professional. Her experience and visibility across multiple platforms make her a valuable addition to our team,” the statement said.

Favour Munachi Agunwa—popularly known in media circles as Moon—combines academic excellence with strong media presence and creative expression.
A graduate of the University of Benin, she holds a Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) and is professionally certified as both a Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM). Her healthcare background, the organisation noted, reflects her discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to service.
Despite her grounding in healthcare, Moon has become a prominent voice in the media and entertainment space. She is a seasoned compere and event host, known for her poise, clarity, and exceptional stage coordination.
She is also a presenter, on-air personality (OAP), and voiceover artist, recognised for her distinctive vocal quality and ability to connect effortlessly with diverse audiences.
Beyond broadcasting, Moon is an accomplished writer. She is an active member of the Benin Writers’ Society and previously honed her craft as part of the Creative Writers’ Workshop at the University of Benin.
Speaking on her appointment, Agunwa expressed enthusiasm about joining the Security Situation Room.
