The wedding ceremony between Mr. Musa Shem of Gombe State and Akuchahyelsu Samuel Simnawa of Adamawa State was solemnised on Tuesday, at the ECWA Gospel Church, Off Ashaka Road, Gombe.

The colourful event attracted guests from within and outside the state, with a significant turnout from Adamawa State, the bride’s home, underscoring the deep family and cultural bonds surrounding the union.
The Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau, represented at the ceremony by his Press Secretary/Information Officer, Mr. Wilson Jonah Yakubu. The presence of the Deputy Governor’s representative highlighted the value placed on marriage as a foundation for unity, particularly in an inter-tribal setting that reflects Nigeria’s diversity and the enduring importance of peaceful coexistence across ethnic and social lines.
The union of the couple was widely regarded as a strong symbol of the role of marriage in strengthening family ties and nurturing values that promote social harmony. The wedding further emphasised the central place of the home in shaping character, fostering moral standards, and serving as a stabilising institution for society at large.
The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Demas Bayero, while church ministers and congregants joined family members, friends, and well-wishers to witness the holy matrimony.
Dignitaries in attendance included the District Head of Wala-Lunguda, Mr Bema Demba.
The celebration later moved to the CAN Centre along Dukku Road, Gombe, where a wedding reception was held, bringing the event to a joyful conclusion amid goodwill, unity, and shared celebration.
