The palace of Folo Dadiya in Bambam, Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe State came alive on Saturday, as eminent personalities from across the state gathered to witness the wedding Fatiha of Abdulrahaman Aliyu and Nafisa Abdulkadir Abubakar Galadima, daughter of His Royal Highness, Alh. Abdulkadir Abubakar Galadima III, the Folo Dadiya.



The ceremony attracted top government officials, political leaders, traditional rulers, and well-wishers. Among the dignitaries in attendance were the Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi; former Deputy Governor, Hon. John Lazarus Yoriyo; Commissioner for Water Resources, Alh. Mohammed Saidu Fawu; Chairman of Gombe State SUBEB, Prof. Esron Jokthan Toro; Projects Manager NISHIP, Gombe State Dr. Umar Istifanus Wanda, Chairman of Balanga LGA, Hon. Salisu Ibrahim Jatau; as well as several traditional rulers from across the state.


The wedding was consummated after the announcement of a ₦200,000 bride price, followed by special prayers seeking Allah’s blessings, guidance, and prosperity for the newlyweds.

Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau, Deputy Governor of Gombe State, who led the state government delegation, conveyed the heartfelt goodwill message of the Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, and good people of Gombe State to the parents of the groom and the bride and to the couple.
He congratulated the bride and groom, urging them to imbibe the injunctions of the Holy Qur’an, to love, respect, and cherish one another, and to uphold the virtues that strengthen marital harmony.
Jatau also extended warm congratulations to the parents of the bride and groom, describing their guidance and prayers as invaluable foundations upon which the couple will build their future.
He emphasised the importance of godly living in a society faced with numerous challenges. He noted that families built on moral and spiritual principles contribute significantly to creating a peaceful and progressive society where mutual respect, love, and coexistence thrive.
The Folo Dadiya, expressed profound gratitude to the governor, his deputy, the SGS, commissioners, council chairman, royal fathers, and all dignitaries who honoured the invitation. He prayed that God rewards them abundantly for identifying with the family on the joyous occasion.
