A visually impaired SS3 student of the Gombe Special Educational Centre, Mubinu Hamza, has appealed to the public for urgent support to enable him access medical treatment and educational aids needed to continue his studies.

Hamza, aged 25, told PERISCOPE NIGERIA his eye condition has deteriorated significantly, making it difficult for him to see, read, or participate effectively in class. The situation, he added, has put his education at serious risk.
He said, “My name is Mubinu Hamza.These are documents showing my eye problem. I am visually impaired, and my condition has been getting worse. I urgently need money to buy the drugs that the doctors prescribed. I pray that God will touch the hearts of people to help me.”
He explained that he lost his father, who had been the one supporting his education and medical needs.
“My father is dead, and the person who used to assist me has nothing now. I don’t have anyone paying for my school needs or treatment. I am struggling every day, and this eye problem has made everything much harder,” he said.
Hamza added that because of his impaired vision, he also needs a Braille device to help him continue learning.
“I really need support to get a Braille machine so I can keep up with my studies. Without it, I find it very difficult to learn,” he appealed.
He called on government agencies, NGOs, philantÿhropists, and Nigerians of goodwill to come to his aid so he can receive proper treatment and continue his education.
