The brief but colourful ceremony took place at the SSG office complex and featured a choral rendition of the evergreen Happy Birthday song, alongside goodwill messages that highlighted the celebrant’s exemplary character, humility, and dedication to service.Professor Njodi, fondly described as a father, boss, and mentor, beamed with smiles throughout the event. He expressed deep appreciation to the organisers, describing the show of love from his family, staff, and friends as unprecedented and deeply touching.

In his remarks, the celebrant urged those present to always put a human face to their actions and decisions, noting that time and life have a way of rewarding kindness and integrity.

In a symbolic demonstration of this philosophy, Professor Njodi presented letters of employment to two indigenes of Gombe State, an opportunity he helped secure for them at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe.

The beneficiaries are Grace Daniel from Balanga Local Government Area, employed as an Environmental Health Technician, and Shamaki Samail Adamu from Kaltungo Local Government Area, appointed as a Pharmacy Technician.

Speaking on behalf of the newly employed staff, Grace Daniel described Professor Njodi as not only a father figure but a rare breed with an indescribable heart of gold.
