Hon. Alfred John, on Sunday donated the sum of ₦2,000,000 to the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN), Gombe State Chapter, to support the feeding of vulnerable persons during the ongoing holy month of Ramadan.

Announcing the development, Dunijir Gatama, aide to John Alfred and a 2027 Billiri/Balanga Federal Constituency hopeful, said the gesture reflects his principal’s commitment to humanitarian causes and community support.
Our correspondent reports that the donation, which was made voluntarily by the politician, Gatama said is aimed at assisting the association in its humanitarian activities across the state throughout the month of Ramadan.
“In the spirit of compassion, generosity, and service that defines the holy month of Ramadan, the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN), Gombe State Chapter, made a heartfelt appeal to support the feeding of the needy across the state,” the statement read.
“In a remarkable show of solidarity and commitment to humanity, Hon. Alfred John graciously responded by donating the sum of Two Million Naira (₦2,000,000) to support this noble cause,” it added.
The statement further noted that, “This generous contribution will go a long way in providing meals and relief to vulnerable families during this blessed month, reinforcing the values of love, unity, and shared responsibility in our society.”
It expressed optimism that, “May this act of kindness inspire others to give and may it bring abundant blessings to the donor and the entire community.”
