The 24th Comptroller of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Gombe State Command, Hassan Aliyu Mohammed, has paid a familiarisation visit to the Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.

Speaking during the visit, Comptroller Mohammed informed the chief scribe that the command remains committed to delivering quality service to the state and the nation within its area of jurisdiction with utmost professionalism.
While appreciating the support extended to the command by the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Comptroller appealed for continued assistance, particularly in the area of logistics, to enable the command and other sister security agencies to perform optimally in ensuring peace and progress in the state and the country.
He further expressed readiness to maintain synergy with the state government and other relevant agencies at all times.
Welcoming the new Comptroller on behalf of the government and people of Gombe State, Prof. Njodi appreciated the role and contributions of the Nigerian Immigration Service, particularly in checking irregular migration, issuing passports, and maintaining peace and order.
He noted that the service in Gombe State has been performing well and urged the new helmsman to build on the existing achievements.
Prof. Njodi assured him of the continued support of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s administration to the service and other security agencies. He also directed the Comptroller to channel requests for immediate logistical needs through his office for consideration, subject to the government’s limited resources.
The SSG further advised the Immigration boss to submit monthly reports through his office to keep the government adequately informed of the command’s activities for timely intervention where necessary.
The State Comptroller was accompanied during the visit by senior officers of the command, while the Permanent Secretary, Special Services and Political, Salihu Adamu Sambo, joined the SGS to receive them.
