The Taraba State Government has denied knowledge of the purported suspension of the Vice Chancellor of Taraba State University, Prof. Sunday Bako.
The Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mike Dio Jen, told our correspondent that the report circulating on social media did not emanate from Governor Agbu Kefas.
“I don’t know about that. I have not received any such information from the governor,” Dr. Jen said.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Bako, also denied knowledge of any suspension.
“I am not aware of my suspension. I have not received any letter to that effect. I saw the report on social media and called the commissioner, but he is not aware either.
“I don’t know where the author of the publication got his information from,” Prof. Bako said.
