Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), made the claim during a recent public discussion, where he alleged that the offer was made during a private caucus meeting.
According to him, the funds were proposed as support for his non-governmental organisation, with the expectation that he would stop criticising the government and instead promote its activities.

“Seyi Tinubu allegedly offered me ₦600 million for my NGO so I can stop attacking the government and start supporting them. But I declined. Nobody can make me turn my back on the people,” Otse said.
The activist maintained that his decision was driven by his commitment to ordinary Nigerians and his desire to remain independent in his advocacy.
“I am here to stay, to represent ordinary Nigerians and fight for the oppressed. No amount of money can change that,” he added.
The claim has since generated mixed reactions across social media, with many expressing surprise at the magnitude of the alleged offer and Otse’s decision to reject it.
While some praised what they described as a rare display of integrity, others questioned the authenticity of the claim, calling for evidence.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from Seyi Tinubu regarding the allegation.
