The Federal College of Horticulture Dadinkowa in Gombe, Gombe State, has distributed palliatives to its staff as part of efforts to motivate workers and enhance productivity within the institution.

The distribution, which covered all categories of staff including casual workers, security personnel, hunters and serving members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), was carried out under the leadership of the Acting Provost, Dr. Umar A. Umar.
Speaking on the initiative, the college management described the gesture as a token of appreciation for the dedication and commitment shown by staff members.

“This gesture is a small token of appreciation for the hard work and dedication of our staff. We believe that a motivated workforce is key to achieving our vision of making the college a centre of excellence in horticulture education,” the management stated.
According to the management, the palliative distribution forms part of broader efforts by the institution to create a positive working environment, strengthen unity among staff and improve overall productivity.
The Acting Provost, through the college’s welfare committee, also reaffirmed the management’s commitment to ensuring a conducive environment for both learning and work.
“We are open to ideas and suggestions from staff on how to improve the college, and we will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the Federal College of Horticulture Dadinkowa remains a place where staff can grow and excel,” he said.
The college’s welfare committee, which facilitated the distribution exercise, commended the management for prioritising staff welfare and encouraged workers to remain dedicated to the institution’s vision and objectives.
