Governor Muhammadu Yahaya of Gombe State, on Wednesday approved the appointment of new Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants as part of efforts to strengthen governance and deepen political and community engagement across the state.
The approval was conveyed in a statement issued by the Secretary to Government of the State, Ibrahim Njodi, who said the appointments take immediate effect.
According to the statement, the Governor appointed Alhaji A. Ahmadu as Special Adviser on Legislative Matters and Daniel Timothy Burak as Special Adviser on Political Matters. Musa Hassan Wali was named Senior Special Assistant I on Political Matters, while Kawu Mohammed Masu will serve as SSA I on Youth Engagement.
Also appointed are Abdulhamid Isa Saidu (Danladi Dinawa) and Hussaini Suleiman Kumbi as SSA II on Community Relations. Others appointed as SSA II on Political and Community Engagement include Alhaji Ali Kachalla, Ishaka Zakari, Alhaji Shehu Sa’adu, Alhaji Kawu Zitu, Alhaji Abubakar Danladi, Yusuf Umar Tappi, Abdullahi Masad, Alhaji Ali Samaila Zafin Nema and Comrade Ayuba Hassan.
Hajiya Fati Jidda was appointed SSA II on Political and Women Engagement.
“The appointments are aimed at enhancing coordination, political mobilization, youth inclusion and grassroots outreach in line with Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s commitment to inclusive and responsive governance,” the statement said.
Governor Yahaya urged the new appointees to “discharge their responsibilities with loyalty, integrity and commitment to the progress and development of Gombe State.”
