The Kano State Government has directed the immediate payment of March 2026 salaries to Civil Servants in state ahead of Sallah celebrations.

 

The acting Head of Service, Hajia Bilkisu Shehu Maimota made the disclosure in a statement issued by the Director Public Enlightenment in the office of the Head of Service, Rukayya Uba Sulaiman, on Saturday.

 

“The Executive Governor of Kano State has directed the immediate release and payment of the March 2026 salaries to all civil servants in the state,” the statement said.

 

According to the statement, the directive was given to enable workers to prepare adequately for the celebration of the forthcoming Eid el-Fitr (Sallah) in a convenient and dignified manner.”

 

The statement added that the early payment reflects the administration’s commitment to the welfare of civil servants and its appreciation of their dedication and contributions to the development of the State.

 

Maimota called on the Civil servants to utilize the gesture responsibly while continuing to demonstrate commitment, discipline, and efficiency in the discharge of their duties for improved service delivery in the State.

 

The government also reaffirmed its resolve to continue implementing policies that promote workers’ welfare and enhance productivity within the civil service.
