The Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF) and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has reaffirmed strong backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his reform-driven administration, as the Nigerian leader marks his 74th birthday.
In a statement issued on behalf of his colleagues in the NSGF and made available to journalists in Gombe, Governor Yahaya described President Tinubu’s leadership as courageous, purposeful, and critical to Nigeria’s long-term stability and economic transformation.
He noted that since assuming office, the President has demonstrated uncommon resolve in implementing far-reaching reforms aimed at repositioning the nation’s economy and strengthening key institutions.
According to him, while the policies may demand short-term sacrifices from citizens, they are necessary steps toward achieving a more stable and prosperous future.
The NSGF Chairman further observed that the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda is restoring confidence and optimism nationwide, providing a clear pathway for inclusive growth, national cohesion, and sustainable development.
Governor Yahaya emphasized that Gombe State, in collaboration with other northern governors, remains firmly aligned with the President’s vision and committed to supporting its full implementation.
“The bold and courageous decisions taken by Mr. President reflect leadership driven by conviction and a genuine desire to secure a better future for the nation.
“These reforms, though challenging, are already laying the groundwork for lasting progress,” he said.
He added that the Northern Governors are united in their support for the continuity of President Tinubu’s transformative agenda beyond the current administration.
“We in Gombe State, alongside our colleagues in the Northern States Governors’ Forum, appreciate the President’s support to subnational governments and his inclusive approach to governance. We reaffirm our unwavering support for his leadership and vision, both now and in the future,” the statement read.
Governor Yahaya also prayed for good health, strength, and wisdom for President Tinubu as he continues to steer the affairs of the nation.
