There is a point where political desperation transcends mere strategy and enters the realm of clinical pathology. The recent press release by the Professor Julius Ihonvbere (PJI) Media Initiative is not a defense of a mandate; it is a public confession of intellectual bankruptcy. By choosing to launch a basement-level ad hominem attack against my person and my media organization, the Professor’s handlers have managed to do the impossible: they have defanged the “International Scholar” and revealed a camp governed by tremors of fear and the incoherence of a lunatic asylum.

The Tragedy of the “Scholar-Dictator”

It is a profound irony that a Professor of Political Science—a man who should be the custodian of data, fact-checking, and strategic communication—has surrounded himself with crumbs-grabbing charlatans whose primary skill is hallucinations. These handlers, who are better suited as inmates in a sanitarium than as media aides, have committed the ultimate professional blunder: they have attacked the very hand that has fed the Professor’s public image for years.

For the record, the Standard Daily Press and my broader media network have been the highest and most consistent promoters of Professor Ihonvbere’s constituency projects. We have done this pro-bono, driven by a commitment to Owan’s development rather than the Professor’s pocket. Yet, in their state of “Third-Term Delirium,” these media hirelings have turned around to bite the one ally who gave their principal a semblance of local relevance.

To conflate my professional identity with the satirical brilliance of “Dr. Oto Drama” is more than a mistake; it is a symptom of a camp that has lost its grip on reality.

The “Ranking Member” Delusion vs. The Social Contract

The central justification for this bizarre third-term gambit is the “Ranking Member” argument—a hollow narrative suggesting that Owan’s survival depends on one man’s longevity in Abuja. This is absolute hogwash. It is a narrative designed to appease narrow-minded psychopaths while insulting the intelligence of every capable leader in Owan East.

Let us be clear about the ladder of rotation. In 2018, Professor Ihonvbere rode to power on the populist horse of the “Turn-by-Turn” gentleman’s agreement. He was the primary beneficiary of a social contract rooted in equity between Owan West and Owan East. Here’s the great betrayal: To now seek to scuttle and dishonor that arrangement is not “political experience”—it is a heist. It is an attempt to turn a representative democracy into a personal fiefdom.

A Terminal Departure

If the Professor’s media team cannot perform the basic due diligence of distinguishing between an institutional publisher and a fictional persona, then the “Ihonvbere Brand” has indeed reached its twilight. When a leader’s inner circle becomes a sanctuary for the incompetent and the hallucinatory, it is a sign that the leader himself has checked out of the reality of his constituents.

Leadership is not just about “shaping conversations” in Abuja; it is about honouring the “Debt of Honor” back home. The arrangement is sacred: power must return to Owan East in 2027. Any attempt to manufacture a “third-term emergency” using the noise of illiterate handlers is a dead-on-arrival strategy.

The Verdict

Professor Ihonvbere, the sun is setting. You cannot use “high grammar” to bridge the gap created by your handlers’ lunacy. Instead of chasing a hallucinatory third term, you had better come home and prepare for a dignified terminal departure from the stage.

The people of Owan are not looking for an “indispensable man”; they are looking for an honorable one. And honor demands that the rotation be respected.
