A high-stakes digital dispute has been brought before the Edo State Police Command, as Douglas Ogbankwa Esq., of Douglas Ogbankwa Law Firm, counsel to Mr Evans Ehigiamusoe, has filed a formal petition against Mr Osasenaga Samuel Ugbo and a social media influencer known as Amebo Presido, also called Queen White24, over alleged cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and false murder accusations.
The petition (Ref: DOLF/O158/2026), signed by solicitors representing the Abuja-based businessman, alleges a coordinated effort to falsely implicate the widower in the death of his wife, Mrs Osas Ehigiamusoe.
According to the petition, the incident began following the sudden and reportedly natural death of Mrs Ehigiamusoe on April 2, 2026. The document states that Mr Ehigiamusoe promptly informed the deceased’s family and transported her remains to Benin City in line with their wishes.
However, upon his arrival, the deceased’s younger brother, Mr Osasenaga Samuel Ugbo, allegedly accused him of murder—claims the solicitors insist are entirely unsubstantiated. The petition further alleges that Ugbo escalated the matter by designing and circulating online posters, as well as posting messages on social media, accusing the widower while investigations were still ongoing.
The controversy gained traction on social media with the involvement of digital content creators. The law firm specifically identified a TikTok influencer, Amebo Presido, also known on Instagram as Queen White24, as a key figure in the alleged dissemination of the claims.
According to the petition, the influencer created and shared videos on Instagram and TikTok alleging that Mr Ehigiamusoe was responsible for his wife’s death. The videos also reportedly encouraged protests and actions that could lead to a breach of public peace, based on unverified claims.
The petition further alleges coordination between the influencer and Mr Ugbo in what it describes as a targeted digital campaign against the businessman.
Douglas Ogbankwa Law Firm warned that the situation has heightened tensions in Benin City, noting that the viral content has the potential to incite unrest and disrupt public order, particularly as investigations are still ongoing.
The legal representatives are urging law enforcement authorities to intervene swiftly and address the actions of Mr Ugbo and the influencer, describing the situation as a dangerous case of “trial by social media.”
