Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, on Thursday approved the deployment of Permanent Secretaries across key Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in a move aimed at strengthening service delivery and enhancing governance efficiency.

The Head of Civil Service, Professor Muazu Shehu, who conveyed the approval, through a statement signed by Director-General Press Affairs Gombe Government House Ismaila Misilli, said the decision reflects the administration’s commitment to effective public service management, continuity in governance and professionalism in the civil service.

“The deployment of Permanent Secretaries is part of deliberate efforts by this administration to reposition the civil service for optimal performance and improved service delivery,” he said.

He added that the postings were carefully designed to deepen policy coordination and align government operations with the governor’s vision.

“These postings are intended to optimise institutional performance, strengthen coordination among MDAs and ensure a more responsive, result-driven and people-oriented public service,” he stated.

Under the new arrangement, Alhaji Jalo Ibrahim-Ali has been deployed to the Ministry of Finance and will also oversee the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, while Idris Yambiu-Buba takes charge of the Ministry of Health with additional oversight of the Ministry of Higher Education.

Mohammed Mohammed Galadima has been assigned to the Ministry of Information while continuing oversight of Science, Technology and Innovation, as Danladi Adamu remains at the Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport.

Larai Maigari has been posted to the Establishment and Service Matters Department in the Office of the Head of Service, while Suleiman Musa-Kwami moves to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and will oversee the Civil Service Commission.

Abubakar Hassan is now at the Ministry of Education, retaining oversight of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, while Salisu Adamu-Sambo continues in Special Services and Political Affairs, overseeing Cabinet and General Duties.

Shuaibu Ibrahim has been deployed to the Ministry of Local Government while continuing oversight of the Teachers Service Commission, and Adamu Moh’d-Kala moves to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism.

Sa’adatu Bome-Ishaya has been posted to the Deputy Governor’s Office while maintaining oversight of the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC), while Abubakar Babayo-Hassan has been deployed to the Local Government Service Commission.

Moh’d Ismail Hinna remains at the Ministry of Justice, just as Muhammad Bello Abubakar-Kumo continues at the Ministry of Water Resources, Environment and Forestry. Alhassan Ibrahim also remains at Government House.

Ahmed Sa’eed-Guli has been posted to the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and will oversee the Ministry of Internal Security and Ethical Orientation, while Dr. Lawan Bala moves to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development with additional oversight of the Ministry of Women and Social Development.

“All postings take immediate effect, and the affected officers are expected to bring their wealth of experience to bear in driving government policies and programmes,” Professor Shehu said.

“This realignment is ultimately aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and ensuring efficient and effective service delivery to the people of Gombe State,” he added.
