The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has distributed relief items to vulnerable people affected by recent attacks from non-state armed groups in the Ngoshe community, Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State

Surajo Abdullahi, while speaking at the event, the NEMA Head of the Maiduguri operations office, expressed sympathy for the victims and encouraged them to remain resilient despite the challenges.

 

He noted that the agency

It’s the Maiduguri Operations Office’s collaboration with relevant stakeholders and community leaders, through their representatives, to ensure prompt intervention and delivery.

 

He explained that the relief items distributed included both food and non-food items, aimed at strengthening people’s resilience and enabling them to rebuild their community.

 

Abba Shehu Timta, the Chairman of Gwoza LGA, speaking on behalf of beneficiaries, expressed sincere appreciation to NEMA and the Federal Government for the timely intervention.

 

Timta commended NEMA for its prompt and consistent response, describing its continued support as clear proof of the agency’s humanitarian commitment.
