Nigerian-born author and community leader Natasha Amadi marked a major milestone in the United Kingdom with the launch of two inspiring books, 40by40 and Hope in Despair, during a special event in Wigan attended by The Worshipful The Mayoress and distinguished guests.

The celebration, which also marked Natasha’s 40th birthday, drew members of the community, family, friends, and supporters who gathered to honour her journey as a writer, mentor, and changemaker.

Speaking at the event, The Mayoress praised Natasha’s courage, leadership, and commitment to creating lasting impact through literature and service.
“It is a true honour to be here today,” she said. “We are celebrating not just a milestone birthday, but a vision brought to life. Natasha is turning reflection into action and purpose into impact.”
She commended the launch of Natasha’s books, describing them as works that reflect honesty, resilience, faith, and wisdom gained through lived experience.
“Writing requires vulnerability. Publishing requires boldness. Doing both while building initiatives that serve the wider community is truly commendable,” The Mayoress added.
Natasha’s first book, 40by40, shares life lessons, personal reflections, and practical wisdom on growth, faith, and intentional living. Her second book, Hope in Despair, tells a deeply personal story of loss, healing, and restoration, offering encouragement to anyone walking through difficult seasons.
Addressing guests, Natasha shared the story behind the project, revealing that the idea began several years ago as she reflected on turning 40 and how she wanted the milestone to matter.
“I didn’t just want to celebrate a birthday,” she said. “I wanted to add value to humanity. I wanted my story and my journey to encourage someone else.”
She explained that while many people celebrate milestones with gifts or travel, she felt called to focus on impact, purpose, and legacy.
“What we are witnessing today is not just a book launch. It is not just a 40th birthday project. It is about building legacy.”
The event also featured the unveiling of Be More Initiative CIC and the Emerge Mentorship Network, two platforms founded by Natasha to support wellbeing, leadership, mentorship, and community empowerment.
Originally from Nigeria, Natasha has continued to inspire many at home and abroad through her message of resilience, faith, and becoming more despite life’s challenges.
Her story is one many Nigerians can relate to — a journey of perseverance, growth, and using pain as fuel for purpose.
With 40by40 and Hope in Despair, Natasha Amadi is proving that milestones are not the end of the story, but the beginning of a greater chapter.
