The All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus candidate for the 2027 Gombe South Senatorial District election, Jerry Damara, on Tuesday called on fellow aspirants, party stakeholders, and residents of the district to unite and work collectively for its development and prosperity.

Damara made the appeal shortly after emerging as the party’s consensus flagbearer, stressing the need to put aside differences in the interest of progress.

This was contained in a statement signed by his Media aide, Mrs Comfort Mukollo.
“I warmly invite my fellow aspirants to work with me. We may come from different positions, but we share the same goal — to see Gombe South grow and succeed,” he said. “Together, we can build something better for our people.”
He expressed appreciation to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for the confidence reposed in him, describing the support as a strong motivation to serve with dedication and integrity.
According to him, “the time has come for everyone to set aside their differences and focus on building a stronger and more united Gombe South.”
Damara urged party members, youths, women, and community leaders to embrace a shared vision anchored on inclusive leadership and development.
“Real progress can only be achieved through unity, fresh ideas, and inclusive leadership,” he stated. “Our mission is clear to work together and deliver real development that will improve the daily lives of our people.”
He further assured constituents of his readiness to engage widely and ensure that no community is left behind.
“I remain committed to listening, engaging, and working closely with all communities to ensure that no one is left behind,” he added.
Damara concluded by emphasising the importance of collective effort, noting that the future of Gombe South depends on unity and a shared commitment to progress.
