A call for peaceful and vigilant conduct of Muslim faithfuls in Gombe State has been made as adherents continue with the colourful Hawan Sallah (Durbar) all over the State.

In a chat with our correspondent, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters and Intergovernmental Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Musa Danbayo, stressed the need for all to experience the celebration in love, peace and unity while reflecting on the significance of the occasion.

According Yusuf Danbayo who holds the traditional title of ‘Dallatun Doma Gombe’, the first day of the Eid El-Kabir celebration, popularly known as Hawan Sallah, marks the beginning of a joyful, colorful, and spiritually significant celebration within Gombe Emirate.

He said, “it is a day filled with gratitude to Almighty Allah, unity among the people, and preservation of our rich cultural and traditional heritage.
“The Hawan Sallah symbolizes honor, peace, dignity, and togetherness as the Emir, District Heads, title holders, horse riders, and well-wishers gather in a grand royal procession to celebrate the blessed occasion of Eid El-Kabir.
“The event reflects the beauty of our traditions, respect for leadership, and the strong bond between the Emirate and the people”, he explained in an exciting mood.
The colorful Durbar procession, beautifully decorated horses, traditional attire, cultural displays, and coordinated royal movements all add prestige and glamour to the celebration, attracting admiration from far and near.
It also serves as an opportunity for the people to pay homage, exchange greetings, strengthen relationships, and pray for peace, progress, and prosperity in Gombe Emirate and the nation at large.
Amb. Yusuf Danbayo therefore prayed that “Almighty Allah accept our sacrifices, prayers, and acts of worship. May He continue to bless Gombe Emirate with peace, unity, security, and abundant prosperity.
“May the spirit of Eid bring happiness, love, harmony, and countless blessings to every home”, Danbayo prayed.
