A renowned veteran journalist in Taraba State, Elder Chief Ben Adaji, is dead.

Chief Adaji, who died at the age of 67, reportedly slumped in his room while dressing up to pay a condolence visit to a nearby family in his village in Kogi State.
Periscope reports that Chief Adaji left Jalingo, Taraba State, on Thursday to supervise a personal project in his village when the unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday evening.
In separate statements, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Taraba State Council, Comrade Mathew Eliot Jen, and the Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Dr. Gabriel Youth, described the late Elder Ben as an invaluable asset to the entire NUJ, particularly journalists practising in Taraba State.
They prayed for God to forgive his shortcomings, grant his family and the NUJ the fortitude to bear the loss, and give his soul eternal rest.
The family is yet to announce burial arrangements.
