The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Taraba State chapter, has affirmed Senator Emmanuel Bwacha as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 election.
The PDP gubernatorial primary election returning officer, Isaac Mtom, announced at the event in Jalingo that Bwacha emerged as the party’s candidate after due process conducted in accordance with the party’s guidelines and provisions.
Our correspondent reports that the affirmation was witnessed by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Meanwhile, Bwacha commended the PDP for the peaceful conduct of the exercise and pledged to drive transformation through industrialisation if elected governor in 2027.
The PDP governorship candidate also promised to bridge religious divides and ensure that all Tarabans see one another as people united in purpose.
He appealed to all citizens, irrespective of political affiliation or tribe, to support his ambition to rescue Taraba from collapse.
