The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the National Brands Development and Made-in-Nigeria Special Project Office, has invited talented and patriotic technology experts from Taraba State and beyond to volunteer their expertise towards the development of a digital platform for the registration, documentation and collation of all Made-in-Taraba products and services.
A statement issued by the Taraba State Coordinator of the project, Hon. Justin A. Tyopuusu, explained that the initiative is aimed at creating a comprehensive and reliable database of products, businesses, innovations, skills and services originating from Taraba State.
The statement also noted that the platform will serve as a strategic tool for planning, policy formulation, investment promotion, market access, business support and economic development.
According to the statement, as Taraba State continues to witness remarkable growth under the leadership of Governor Agbu Kefas, there is an urgent need to harness technology to identify, document and promote local producers, entrepreneurs, artisans, manufacturers, service providers and innovators across the state.
“The proposed digital registry will provide government, development partners, investors and business support organisations with credible data required to design interventions, attract investments, create market linkages and strengthen local enterprises.
“We are therefore calling on software developers, web designers, mobile app developers, database administrators, UI/UX designers, data analysts, cybersecurity experts, GIS specialists and other ICT professionals who are passionate about the development of Taraba State to join this noble initiative on a voluntary basis.
“This is an opportunity for technology professionals to contribute meaningfully to the economic transformation of Taraba State by deploying their knowledge and skills for a project that will have a lasting impact on local businesses and communities,” the statement said.
The statement urged interested persons to contact the state coordinator via WhatsApp only on +2347037688301 for details and registration.
