The International Association of World Peace Advocacy Network (IAWPA) has called on well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the humanitarian efforts of Hon. Danjuma Shiddi (Danji SS), the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Taraba State, in order to improve the living conditions of indigent persons.
The President of the association, Amb. Per Stafsen, made the call during the commemoration of World Widows Day held in Abuja.
Stafsen praised Hon. Shiddi’s humanitarian commitment and sustained support for widows, women, orphans, and youth empowerment across Nigeria, which, according to him, has significantly transformed the lives of many beneficiaries.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the APGA governorship candidate was honoured with the Humanitarian Personality Award 2026 at the event.
IAWPA, a participant in the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC 30511), explained that Hon. Shiddi was selected for the award because of his dedication to improving the lives of vulnerable persons and groups while promoting peace, social development, and community resilience.
The association called on public-spirited Nigerians to emulate Shiddi’s generosity and commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society in order to improve their social and economic well-being.
Meanwhile, the APGA governorship candidate described the award as a moral booster that would encourage him to do more in touching lives and supporting the less privileged.
He thanked IAWPA for recognising his humanitarian contributions and for considering him worthy of the award among numerous humanitarian advocates in the country.
