The Gombe State University Alumni Association (GSUAA) has commenced a comprehensive review and amendment of its constitution and has called on members nationwide to submit memoranda, proposals and observations through their respective chapters and branches.
In a public notice issued on Tuesday, the National Publicity and Relations Officer of the association, Comrade Abdulazeez Sani Labaran, said the exercise was being undertaken in line with the provisions of the association’s existing constitution and resolutions of the National Executive Council.

Labaran, who is also a member of the Constitutional Amendment Committee, said the review was aimed at strengthening the association’s governance framework and aligning its operations with current realities and best practices.
“The amendment process is designed to strengthen the governance framework of the Association and align it with current realities and best practices,” he stated.
He directed all members of the association to channel their inputs, memoranda, proposed amendments and constructive observations through their respective chapters and branches for collation and onward transmission to the Constitutional Amendment Committee.
According to him, members are expected to liaise with their Chapter and Branch Executive Councils to obtain the prescribed format and guidelines for submissions.
“The Committee solicits the active participation of all members to ensure the emerging Constitution reflects the collective aspirations of the Association,” Labaran said.
The association also announced a three-day window for the submission of contributions, setting 11:59 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, as the deadline.
It warned that submissions received after the deadline would not be considered.
The notice was issued on behalf of the National President of the association, Malam Buhari Magaji, PhD, popularly known as Masanin Funakaye.

OBJECTIVE
