The Village Head of Jaurowal in the Pindiga Emirate of Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State, Ambassador Ibrahim Mu’azu Hassan, has appealed to governments at all levels to provide essential social amenities to communities in the area.

Speaking in an interview with our correspondent, the traditional ruler also called on political leaders, philanthropists and non-governmental organisations to support the communities through the provision of roads, hospitals and schools.
Ambassador Mu’azu Hassan expressed concern over the poor state of infrastructure, particularly roads, which he said has contributed to the deaths of at least five women who could not access medical care on time while being transported to hospitals.
He appealed to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, Senator Danjuma Goje, the member representing Akko Federal Constituency, Dr Usman Bello Kumo, and the member representing Akko West State Constituency, Hon. Abubakar Abdullahi, to intervene and address the challenges confronting the people.
The village head also lamented the abandonment of the proposed Jaurowal Junior Secondary School project, saying construction work has been stalled for more than seven years, thereby affecting access to education in the area.
He further called on the government to create a ward for Jaurowal, noting that the proposed ward would comprise about 10 villages, including Garin Jauro Jibir, Labarfito, Dongoru Karama, Felawa, Bakkiti, Pali, Lafiyawo, Ardowu and Garin Yabano.
According to him, despite their large population and contributions to the local government area, the communities have yet to enjoy the dividends of democracy through meaningful development projects.
Ambassador Mu’azu Hassan urged the relevant authorities to prioritise the needs of the area through the provision of infrastructure and community development projects aimed at improving the living conditions of residents.
He also prayed for peace, unity and sustainable development in the Pindiga Emirate, Jaurowal community, Gombe State and Nigeria as a whole.
