“I am deeply honored and grateful to Almighty God for this opportunity to serve. This appointment is more than a personal achievement; it reflects years of dedication, sacrifice, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, political inclusion, and nation-building,” Burra stated.
The newly sworn-in director emphasized that leadership goes beyond occupying positions of authority, stressing the importance of accountability, integrity, and service.
“Leadership is not merely about occupying a position or taking the mantle of authority. Taking leadership is easy, but managing it effectively, responsibly, and with integrity is a rare ability possessed by only a few. True leadership demands vision, sacrifice, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to the people one serves,” he said.
Burra pledged to work diligently in advancing the welfare and interests of Nigerian youths, while seeking divine guidance in the discharge of his duties.
“As I embark on this new responsibility, I pray that Almighty God grants me the wisdom, strength, courage, and guidance required to discharge my duties diligently and effectively for the benefit of Nigerian youths and our great nation,” he added.
He also expressed appreciation to the leadership of NYIP, mentors, colleagues, friends, and supporters who contributed to his growth and success.
Burra further reaffirmed his commitment to youth advocacy, promising to promote empowerment, inclusion, and active participation of young people in governance and national development.
“Today, I make a solemn commitment to continue advocating for the welfare, empowerment, inclusion, and protection of the interests of Nigerian youths. I pledge to serve with dedication, transparency, and passion, and to remain a strong voice for young people at all levels for as long as God grants me the opportunity,” he said.
He described his appointment as the beginning of greater service and responsibility, calling on young Nigerians to work together toward a future where youths are empowered and positioned to lead.
“The future belongs to us, and the time to act is now,” Burra said.
