President Tinubu is at it again. This time it’s in #Osun2026.
He already told us: “I will not give oxygen to any opposition because politics is fight to finish.” And the machinery is obeying.
Today, police arrested and detained Osun SSG, Teslim Igbalajaye, plus five others. Reason? N4.8m allegedly found in his possession after a raid on his residence.
N4.8m. In Nigeria. In politics. That’s what we’re using to start a “fight to finish”?
Let’s be clear: if carrying cash is now a crime, half of Abuja and all 36 state houses should be under siege. Politicians move billions with jets and bullion vans and we clap. But the moment it’s opposition, it becomes evidence.
This is not law enforcement. This is intimidation dressed in a police uniform.
“Fight to finish” politics means using state institutions to suffocate rivals before 2026 even begins. It means arrests first, charges later, optics forever.
Mr. President, you don’t strengthen democracy by hunting opponents. You strengthen it by delivering so well that people vote for you freely.
Nigerians, who let this dog out?
Because the last time we normalized this, it came for all of us. Today it’s Osun SSG. Tomorrow it could be any dissenting voice.
Fight to finish? Or fight to fear?
