The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency in Taraba State, Alhaji Muktar Galadima, has donated electricity transformers to Gura and Ungwer Ciki communities in Ibi Local Government Area of the state.

The House of Representatives candidate stated this on Tuesday in Ibi, saying the gesture was aimed at restoring electricity supply to the communities after a long period of blackout.
According to Galadima, residents had complained about the intermittent breakdown of the existing transformers and the prolonged delays in repairing them, a situation he said had disrupted electricity supply in the areas for years.
He said, “The donation of transformers to the two communities in Ibi Local Government is to restore electricity supply after a long period of blackout in the areas.
“I found it necessary to respond to their complaints after they had been without electricity for a long period. This intervention, I believe, will provide relief to households, traders and other residents whose businesses and socio-economic activities depend on regular electricity supply.”
Reacting to the development, the Sarkin Ibi, HRH Alhaji Abubakar Danbawuro III, and Mallam Nasiru Musa both described the intervention as a genuine demonstration of concern for the well-being of the people.
They appealed to well-to-do citizens of the local government to emulate Galadima’s humanitarian gesture and support initiatives capable of attracting more development to the people.
