The Gombe police commissioner, CP Bello Makwashi, has reiterated the commands resolve at nipping crimes and criminalities in all parts of the state.
In a release obtained by justthinkingaloud90.blogspot.com which was signed by the Public Relations Officer SP Mary Malum Obed, the arrest was made possible through a combined efforts of Hunters in the spirit of community policing and SARS operatives.
It partly states; “One Babangida Abdullahi, Male, 40 years, Suleiman Ibrahim, Male, 37 years from Sabon layi, Awak, Kaltungo LGA, Ali Haruna, Male, from Tudun Kwaya Billiri LGA and Isa Dabo, Male of Daddare village Balanga LGA, all in Gombe state.
“The suspects confessed to series of Kidnapping cases in Gombe and Gombe States where various sums of Money were collected as ransom before their victims were released. “Exhibits recovered from them includes (2) AK47 Rifles, one locally made Revolver pistol, one locally made Rifle and sixty (60) rounds of AK47 live ammunitions, Investigation is still on going and they will be charged to court soon” it added.
Meanwhile Makwashi, has enjoined all peace loving citizens to continue to partner, collaborate and assist the police with genuine and timely information in the command’s bid to serve better.
